Information for Referring Dentists

Each year over 50 dentists in the tri-county Southeastern Florida area refer their patients to Dr. Davidoff. Most of these referrals are for implant placement although quite a few are for Prosthodontic treatment as well. In addition to the local referrers, Dr. Davidoff has referrals from colleagues all over the world. Dr. Davidoff is committed to the support of his referring dentists and has taken the time to do everything possible to insure that the referrals to his practice are to everyone's advantage by providing as much easy to follow information as possible for pre care as well as post treatment. The following list of instructions and documents are designed to make the referring dentists task easier and more rewarding and to install confidence and a feeling of security for the patients.

Policy:

Patients will be examined and treatment planned only for procedures that are specified by the referring dentist. If there are additional factors that Dr. Davidoff feels are pertinent to the patient's treatment, they will be discussed first with the referring dentist. Patients referred for dental implants are not eligible for any prosthodontic treatment in Dr. Davidoff's offices unless specifically specified by the referring dentist. Occasionally, a referring dentist will request Dr. Davidoff's help with the prosthetic portion of the dental treatment and Dr. Davidoff will always do his best to comply. Occasionally, prosthodontics services are provided by dr. Davidoff as a courtesy to the referring dentist.

Out of town referrals for most emergency treatments will not be charged for the treatment. This work, wherever possible is done as a courtesy to the referring dentist.

Upon completion of dental treatment, a detail report will be submitted to the referring dentist. If parts are needed for implant supported restorations, they will be detailed to the the referring dentist....
